The weather has been positively springlike this week, highs in the 80's, lows in the 60's, and now rainy. Still early for Jonquils and Daffodils. I don't even know if they grow in this area...wishful thinking for an early spring.

Wishcasting Wednesday: What Nourishment Do You Wish For?

Wishcasting Wednesday by Jamie Ridler with today’s question: What Nourishment Do You Wish For?

I wish for balanced nourishment. You think you're being healthier, but you go too far and may have ended up creating another problem. Ugh! Balanced Nourishment!

Haiku: Evening Sun

On dusky canvas
Evening sun paints cloudy sky
Orange and yellow

Shadowed trees framing
Nature's twilight masterpiece
For all to see

Today's Special has two wonderful haiku written by Shiki. To inspire your own:

tsuridoko ni irihi mori kuru shigemi kana

the evening sun
filters through the undergrowth
onto the hanging bed

and:

rai harete ichiju nu yuki semi no koe

the thunderstorm having cleared up
the evening sun shines on a tree
where a cicada is chirping

Where does the soul go?

Helix Nebula "Eye of God"

Cat's Eye Nebula

"Where does the soul go?"
Discovery through science
More by faith and art

A thousand eyes search
For the soul's Atlantis
Through vastness of night

By brightness of day
Philosophers Endeavor
Answers unyielding

Love's great Challenger
Never ending search for signs
Heart and mind diverge

Dying with light's end
Enterprise at last answered
"Where does the soul go?"

Haiku: Odin's Paradise

Haiku: Sweet Memories Fade

Sweet memories fade
Fairytales become nightmares
Lovers torn apart

FTLOH- 19 (See the picture here)

Spring Time Please

Winter chills
I can bear no more
Come to me
Spring time please
Impatiently I await
Flowers and sunshine

This concludes my 21 days of poetry (not including all the extra haikus). I will continue the poetry writing, but my time will be limited. The past three weeks have allowed me to develop a creative poetry habit and to explore different forms of poetry. I think my favorite are the Triolet andVillanelle. Perhaps once Spring classes are over I will attempt this again in the summer for a longer period.
